We’re often asked, does Wake Up and Eat mean we should eat breakfast, haha? Yes, eat breakfast, fully awake. It’s also time to Wake Up at lunch, dinner and every other time we eat. Let’s call it being more aware of what’s going into our bodies.
We are in favor of yumminess and opposed to food anxiety, which is bad for digestion and definitely bad for mental (emotional) and spiritual health. We are sure that there’s room to enjoy delicious and life-supporting food, no matter who you are and what resource constraints (time, money, geography, etc.) you’re working with. Even though our recipes are 100% plant-based (vegan), we know that everyone must find their own food salvation.
Our mission is to educate, entertain and inspire happier eating. Our Editorial Board is comprised of food lovers, food professionals (including a Registered Dietitian), working parents, food know-it-alls, newbies, wannabees, foodies, and eaters young and old.
Just a reminder: Our content is provided solely for informational, educational and humorous purposes. While the Editorial Board members have their views, none of our content is meant to single out any particular company or person unless of course we say so.
We only recommend products and services we’d consume and use ourselves and hope you enjoy them as much as we do. We stand behind what we do but understand that we don’t necessarily know everything and not everyone agrees. Plus, we know that there is a lot to learn from others and that minds and hearts can change.
We’d love to hear from you. We welcome feedback, including thoughts, ideas, suggestions, questions and general pondering. Even if we disagree, we want to hear your opinions. We check our sources but if we’ve made a mistake, we want to know. For more information about us (publications, speakers, videos and more), please contact us at info at wakeupandeat dot com. We try to respond promptly but please be patient for all non-urgent requests.
